Bryant and Mary – Stockroom Wedding

Some brides and grooms choose to have their summer weddings outdoors. Bryant and Mary made sure that they were indoors as much as possible and always near the air conditioning. Knowing that they were having a Stockroom wedding, always puts a smile on my face. Every second outdoors was carefully planned. The days leading up to their wedding were either sweltering hot or all day downpours. Their ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. Always kept on track by Catherine from C & D Events. The wedding day can be best described as “carefree.”

Wedding Prep

Mary and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done in The Glass Box. A great location to relax with your wedding party and prepare for the day ahead. There is a great view of downtown Raleigh along with a spacious prep area. Be located two stories about The Stockroom makes it ideal as well. Hair and makeup services were provided by the ladies from Wink.

The Groom chose to spend his pre-wedding time with his groomsmen at Isaac Hunters Tavern, a few blocks away from The Stockroom. A perfect place to escape the heat and prepare for the day ahead. No stress, no rush, just a relaxation.

The Stockroom First Look

The pre-ceremony “first look” is slowly becoming a staple of the wedding day. Whether its holding hands around a corner or spending some alone time together. They went for the full reveal inside The Stockroom, at their ceremony site.

The Wedding Ceremony

The couple’s wedding ceremony and reception were simply decorated with the help of ThemeWorks, CE Rentals, The English Garden, and The Oblique Pen. With simple white drapery, elegant chalk art, and gorgeous flower arrangements, the Stockroom was transformed into a charming intimate venue. With a wedding ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family, they sealed their vows with a kiss.

Cocktail Portraits

During their cocktail hour, I had Mary and Bryant go for a walk around the block. Taking the couple out for a quick portrait session after their wedding ceremony is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. Downtown Raleigh has no shortage of portrait locations. I love shooting Stockroom weddings for this very reason.
