– MacGregor Downs Wedding Reception –
Together with their friends and family, Kevin and Leigh made it to their MacGregor Downs wedding reception. The country club holds a lot of sentimental value to Leigh’s family. Her grandfather was one of the founders of the club. It was great to be able to take a picture of the newlyweds and her grandparents in front of the fireplace. They had the reception split into two separate rooms. They had their introductions and first dances in the main dining hall. Followed by dinner, cake cutting, and toasts in the Lakeside banquet hall.

This section of MacGregor Downs banquet hall is a great place to shoot a bridal party portrait. From the stone fireplace, to the coat of arms, and a great chandelier, this a classic shot.

Not only did MacGregor Downs Country Club provide a warm atmosphere, they provided awesome food and dinner service on a cold North Carolina evening. One of the moments I look forward to are the speeches given during the dinner service. Emotional toasts were provided by Kevin’s best man, Leigh’s sisters, and her father.
The wedding cake was provided by Lyla Jones Bake Shop. Kevin never saw the cake coming.
Dancing!
Finally we get to the dancing! DJ Ronnie Williams of The Perfect Beat kept the partying going and everyone on the dance floor. Having a MacGregor Downs wedding reception in the main dining area allowed for everyone to stay warm by the fireplace and still only be a few feet from the dance floor. The dancing, the music, and sparkler exit where a great end to a perfect wedding day.
