– Kevin & Leigh –

Almost a year to the date Kevin and Leigh hired me to shoot their engagement portraits. When discussing their wedding plans I was excited to find out that they had planned for their Hayes Barton Baptist Church wedding ceremony to be at night. I love shooting night portraits and their December wedding turned out to be warm enough to be able to shoot out side and get some great portraits.

This is the second wedding I have shot for Leigh’s family. Family is always a big part of everything they do. Throughout the wedding day you can see how much those interactions mean to them, not just in Leigh’s family but Kevin’s as well.

All the bridal party portraits were enhanced by the great flowers from Brandis Botanicals. They designed a great winter wedding bouquet!

No blog post would be complete without showing off the bride. Leigh’s choice of wedding gown was unparalleled. It was one of my favorite gowns of 2017. Leigh had a great time at Traditions by Anna Bridal Boutique choosing her gown.

Watching the interaction between the groom and his groomsmen is always a great indiction of how the wedding day is going to go. If the guys can get him relaxed, then they have done their job and will make the rest of the day great for everyone.

– The Ceremony –

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Kevin and Leigh had a stunning and meaningful ceremony. From the groom holding back his tears to the joy of finally being married, everyone at the Hayes Barton Baptist Church wedding could feel the love.

Because of the craziness of the day, Kevin and Leigh relished this quiet moment together before the wedding party and family join them.

Finally we come to the outdoor night portaits. The front of Hayes Barton Baptist Church is stunning. Its columns and bricks make for a great portrait backdrop. In addition to shooting the whole bridal party, I was able to shoot Kevin and Leigh alone in front of Hayes Barton Baptist Church before they drove off to their reception.
