Duke Chapel Bridal Portraits
First of all I have to let you know that when I first met Ashlyn, to book her wedding, she made it very clear that her Duke Chapel bridal portraits were her biggest priority. Having Duke Chapel as the back drop to her bridals had been a long time dream. Having her ceremony there was a dream come true.
In the southern United States it is traditional to have you bridal portrait in a church or at your wedding venue. In North Carolina thats usually a baptist church or one of the more modern venues. The architecture is usually going to be the same no matter where you go. It is a rare find to be able to shoot gothic architecture for a bridal session. This was my first bridal portrait session at Duke Chapel and it was a great experience. Secondly, we had to deal with some bad weather that day but it didn’t take away from the portrait sessions.
Finally I have to talk about the unbelievable wedding gown. Ashlyns gown and veil were a perfect pairing for Duke Chapel. The cathedral veil, the elegant sleeves, and topped off with the incredible detail work of her dress, made this a truly elegant portrait session.
